This month, we feature Christina Balkaran, who teaches at Henderson K-12 Inclusion School in Boston, MA. Where does Christina see herself in 10 years?

“If I’m still teaching in 10 years (which I hope to be!), I would love to be working with high school students teaching a range of math classes. In addition to teaching algebra, I am hoping to teach AP Calculus next year and really push my students in a college level course. Sometimes I daydream about getting into the education technology field. I’d love to design an online math program to fill in the foundational gaps that students would use in the classroom to supplement their learning. My vision includes a lot of what I’ve heard teachers desiring about online math programs, like a diagnostics test, different data reports, built in interventions, and lessons/videos. This may be my summer vacation project!”
